One of the most child friendly recipes I know - kids love food they can pick up and eat cave man style. These are ever so simple, and easy on the budget, too! By using thigh fillets, the meat stays more moist and succulent.
Ingredients
How to?
Cut the chicken thighs into 2 cm square pieces - some will be thicker than others, and that's fine. Mix the chicken with the sauce, honey, salt and garlic. place and even amount of chicken onto skewers, and squish it up tight. Keeping the meat tightly placed together helps in keeping it moist. Place in the fridge for at least ½ hour.
Heat a large frying pan to a low to moderate heat, and spray lightly with oil. Place the kebabs, close together, and turn every few minutes to get an even brown. Placing a lid on the pan also helps to semi-steam the meat.
I will never again buy the pre-made kebabs - they are that simple - and much cheaper to make yourself! The marinade is also easily adjusted to your personal taste - your only limit is your imagination!
